Yvar’s Smoked Meats reached out looking for a full logo system for their new food brand. The business was still in its early stages, and they needed a brand identity that would set the tone, feel memorable, and support them as they prepared to launch.
Project Goal
The goal was to build a strong and recognizable brand identity that worked for a smoked meats business while capturing the heart of their story. They wanted a logo system that would feel warm, approachable, and aligned with the food industry, something that would make the brand stand out in a very visual and competitive space.
I started with my usual brand strategy process, which includes having the client fill out the brand questionnaire. This helps uncover the story, personality, and direction behind the brand before creating anything visual.
How We Created the Solution
During this phase, I discovered that the brand was named after their son. That became the emotional center of the identity. From there, I explored how his fun and vibrant personality could influence the visual direction.
I leaned into a red and yellow palette, which works naturally for food brands since these colors stimulate appetite and help attract attention. The logo was built to feel bold, friendly, and full of character, tying together the family story with the business purpose.
After finalizing the logo system, I created ready-to-use social media assets so they could stay consistent across their channels and have a proper foundation for their launch.
